Tub & Surround Refinishing

We at All surface Renew have been refinishing tubs and surrounds weather it is cultured marble, fiberglass, tile or stone however for over 15 years and we have not explained in our site this specific process for this type of project and many folks don’t know that the surround could be refinished.

WHY REFINISH A SURROUND?

There are a number of reasons:

1. Wrong color
2. Grout stains too much
3. Hard to clean
4. It does not look right
5. The grout crumbles
6. Broken or damage surround

 

All of the problems above can be addressed by refinishing tub/surround to a new finish, it is very durable with reasonable care. There is alway the option to remove surround and install a new surround if that is what it is desired, however if you are in a budget refinishing is a long term solution for way less.

When tub and surround is refinished to a same color it become way more reasonable in cost since everything can be prepped up in one time and refinish in one time as well, it takes less that a day and it is ready for use again in 24 hours after completion.

People believe that the smell of the chemicals used in this process is very poisonous and the reason is that most refinishing companies use a product that’s called aliphatic acrylic enamel and this is a very bad product because it contains isocyanates, we know this product because well back in the day we used it and for over 11 years ago we have faced it out, and now we use a product that is marine grade epoxy, which contains no Isocyanates smells a little bit industrial, but it is not poisonous to humans or pets.
